Kevin R. Hargrave, M.D., is a board certified neurologist and sleep medicine physician specializing in the treatment of sleep disorders, seizures/epilepsy, stroke and stroke prevention, Parkinsons disease, and other neurological conditions. He graduated as an Honors Research Program Graduate from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his residency at Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Dr. Hargrave also has a certification from the American Society of Neuroimaging to interpret neurological imaging studies (MRIs, CT scans).
Dr. Hargrave, from Kaplan, began his private neurological practice in Opelousas in the year 2001. Clinic was called CNC or comprehensive neurologic center.
Dr JY Bordelon, pulmonologist and Acadiana sleep medicine pioneer suggested to Dr Hargrave to become involved and get certified in sleep medicine. He took his advice and is very glad he did. He worked alongside Dr Bordelon in the OGH sleep disorders center for 3 years.
In 2003, Dr Hargrave opened a satellite neurology clinic in Lafayette. One year later, Dr. Hargrave opened a two-bed sleep center. He subsequently changed the corporate name of his practice to Comprehensive Neurologics & Sleep. Within the first year of opening, the Sleep Center was accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Hargrave is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (1998-present), American Association of Sleep Medicine, the Louisiana Assoc of Sleep Medicine, the National Sleep Foundation, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Neuroimaging.
