On March 27, 2005 the following law went into effect regarding booster and car seats:
Children ages 4, 5, and 6 must be restrained in an appropriate child restraint system. Under 40 lbs they must be in a car seat. Over 40 lbs, they must be in a booster seat until they reach the age of 7.
Parents must read the manufacturers instructions when buying either a car or booster seat. If you have any questions you may contact the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee.
