Biota analysis is the determination of the accumulation levels of toxic substances in plant and animal tissues. The determination of toxic residues in organisms populating a contaminated area is an important part of the ecological risk assessment process. GCALs biota lab performs methodologies for tissue extraction and analysis on a variety of matrices. Several projects have included analyses involving:
