Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIS) Direct Anterior Hip
The direct anterior approach is one of the minimally invasive techniques used in hip replacement surgery. The direct anterior approach allows the surgeon good access to the hip without detaching any of the muscles or tendons. This may allow for a more natural return to normal function and activity.

Hip Resurfacing is similar to a total hip replacement from a surgical perspective. Instead of cutting off the arthritic top of the thighbone (femoral head and neck), the head is reshaped and resurfaced with a metal mushroom-like cap. Hip resurfacing leaves more of your natural bone in place.

Partial knee resurfacing (PKR) is a surgical procedure for relieving arthritis in one compartment of the knee. With PKR, only the damaged surface of the knee joint is replaced, helping to minimize trauma to healthy bone and tissue.

Hip Impingement/Femoracetabular Impingement (FAI)
Hip impingement is a condition that causes hip/groin pain in early adulthood. Treatment can consist of medications, avoiding aggravating factors, and physical therapy. Despite nonoperative treatment, surgery is indicated in an effort to help prevent early arthritis and need for joint replacement. Surgery can be performed arthroscopically, with less pain, or open, depending on the patient´s anatomy and problem area.
