Our office is located in Monroe, Louisiana. We provide the latest advancements in foot care and surgery, covering all phases of podiatry. From general footcare to diabetic footcare, from sports medicine to the treatment of injuries, from routine treatments to surgical procedures, we provide well-rounded services. When surgery is necessary, most procedures can be performed in the office or at an outpatient surgery center or hospital. Laser surgery for most procedures is conveniently performed in our office. Dr. Jeffrey Lux has served the Northeast Louisiana area for almost 17 years. As a former native of Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Lux obtained his pre-medical education at Wayne State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984. He then attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. In 1988, he graduated from podiatric medical school, earning a DPM degree with an honors citation in Biomechanics. He completed a residency training program in Podiatric Surgery at Doctor's Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia. The residency program included rotations in Internal Medicine, Orthopaedics, Radiology, Anesthesiology, and Family Medicine.
Dr. Lux is Board Certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry in all three of the Board's areas of expertise: (1) Primary Podiatric Care, (2) Podiatric Surgery, and (3) Prevention and Treatment of Diabetic Foot Wounds. He is also a past liaison for the Louisiana Podiatric Medical Association to the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
