When you bring a puppy home, that puppy is looking for a replacement for what the mother represented, the Alpha figure. If you adopt an older Dog it goes through a hierarchy reorginization, in both instances, the sooner you emerge as the gentle but firm Pack Leader, the quicker the Dog will bond and feel secure.
It is crucial when this happens, that you step up to the plate and start to implement the basic comands, not only to teach the Dog to take direction from its new owner, but to teach respect for humans, and to bite-proof your new addition.
RYANS OBEDIENCE & BEHAVIORAL TRAINING CTR. is owned and operated by W.T. Ryan and his wife Linda, with a goal of making your dog a happy, obedient and problem free member of your family.
We have two locations; our BOOT CAMP or kennel facility is located in Mississipi, 13 miles north of Picayune, MS. Our training ctr. is in Slidell, la., where we started our busuness in 1993 and now give private, group and behavioral consultations.
The k9 BOOT CAMP is on 15 fenced acres with a 30 dog indoor-outdoor kennel, numerous play yards and an acre pond that is the focal point of fun and exercise for the boarding dogs. Puppies and adult dogs get to swim or just run around the levee in small groups, or individually if they are not social, at least 4 times a day. The ones that are here for training also get put through their paces twice a day.
