Artist Andrew James is a native of south Louisiana and has been producing art for over 28 years. His art education started back in high school and continued through the Graphic Design and Fine Art B.A. program at Louisiana State University. Having taken drawing seriously at a young age, his biggest influences were the time spent with family in St Francisville, LA and the work of John James Audubon, as well as time spent with his family in Charlottesville, Virginia at Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson. The majority of mediums used are pen, pencil, and acrylic on reclaimed material from old Cypress to 100yr old New Orleans French Quarter area roof slate.
Please see examples of completed work on the next several pages, and custom design requests are welcomed. Please use the contact form page if you need to be contacted either by telephone or e-mail.
