Offshore

Ashtead Technology's Offshore division has the world's largest fleet of hydrographic, oceanographic, subsea positioning, navigation, geophysical, Diving, ROV , and survey equipment available. Items such as Odom Hydrotrac, Echotrac in 200, 24 and 12kHZ and CVM echosounders, Digibar for speed of Sound, TSS Motion Sensors such as the DMS-05, Marinus , and the trusted 335B . TSS Also make the Meridian Gyro Compass and the Subsea Meridian Gyro Compass with roll and pitch. Need another choice, try the CDL line of gyro compasses . The Mini RLG , mini POS and the Mini Spool will blaze an underwater path. We still have available the coveted Trimble 4000SSi and the RS GPS receivers along with the new DSM-Pro and the Pro-XR for GIS applications . Believe it of not we still offer the SG Brown 1000S gyro compass for hire. For the distance mapping groups we offer the MDL Fanbeam with prism clusters. If Geophysical is your business try our line of Edgetech Products formerly EG&G units . We offer the 260 TH Side Scan Sonar or SSS for short and the 272td Tow Fish . Edgetech also make sub bottom profilers such as the X-Star system and the mighty deep sea mapper. If your in need of Magnetometers we can provide you with the Geometrics 880, Geometrics 881 , and the new Geometrics 882 mags . Just recently we invested in the Marine Magnetics Sea Spy Magnetometer based on Overhouser Technology . If there is something underwater and you can't see it, perhaps a handy ROV to get your eyes beneath the waves will work for you. Ashtead offer the Outland ROV-1000 System with single axis manipulators , rear cameras and spare umbilical. If small is what you need then perhaps the ACCESS mini rov . The AC-CESS is the smallest most stable ROV on the market and ideal for pipe inspections . If currents are a problem on your site then try renting our full line of ADCP's . We have invested heavily into the Teledyne RDI ADCP systems. Workhore Sentinal 300 and 600kHz are available. Ashtead Technology also has ample supply of the Long Ranger 75kHz units . If your work is confined to an ROV then try our line of DVL's by Teledyne RDI such as the Navigator series. They come in 300, 600, and 1200 kHz models. On that line of Oceanographic equipment check out our line of Valeport CTDs such as the 604, 606, 650, 600 and the midas. Valeport also make current detection systems based on electromagnetic principle on the 803 and 808. Ashtead Technology hire Intelligent digiquartz units from Paroscientific in the 60, 270, 700, 2000, and 4000 meter versions. If your looking for items underwater try out the Kongsberg Sonar System by Simrad MS1000 . Its digital and has a 675kHZ head. Laptop computers and tripods are available for those. Tritech make a very good sonar as well, the Super Seaking Sonar combined with the DFP or Dual Frequency Profiler is a great combination. Add a SAV-4 Junction bottle and a Seanet Sku for topside display and processing. A total package would be if you added the Tritech Bathy System . If mapping the seafloor is more your style then Ashtead Technology has a multibeam system for your project u/w. The Reson 801 multi beam , Reson 8125, Reson 9001, Reson 7125 , and the Reson 8160 are strong multibeams sonar. You will need a CTD to go with that and Seabird make a good product. The SBE-19 series is all you need for speed of sound calibration through conductivity, Temperature and depth. Need to find your way underwater during your next subsea construction project of spool piece measurement? We have just invested millions of dollars into the Sonardyne fusion system . These wide band MK5 compatt units are wideband technology can digitally communicate in hipap frequencies to your vessel. They come with endcaps like inclinometers, digiquartz and dual inclinometer and digiquartz systems. The Fusion Engines have construction software for LBL of USBL application. A ROV NAV will communicate just fine with a dunking kit or you can use the high end 8021 transceiver head . Feel like using older technology? We have lots of Sonardyne MK4 compatts left for your jobs in great shape. Directional, inclinometer, digiquartz or even dual band are available. EHF or MF frequencies are here. Take an ANT or use your APS3 software to hone in those pipelines. If your using the USBL or L-USBL perhaps a 7866, 7970, 7866 or the 7656 beacons will work. Trackpoint are also available for hire with the 4330B beacons . Applied acoustics Fat Boy beacons are here and those model numbers are 962. Need to track a cable or a pipe? TSS makes a nice pipe and cable tracking system . The TSS 340 and TSS 440 are superior when it comes to depth of burial. The TSS 350 is a proven cable tracking system when used with a tone generator . Since your ROV will be out how about some more accessories for it? Diver held Bathycorometers such as the deepwater corrosion polartrack or the Deep C Meter for the ROV would be great to monitor your cathodic protection. Roxby make nice gear as well. Cameras to read your displays can be provided. Ashtead Technology rentals have Kongsberg OE1364 , OE-1366 , OE-1367 , OE 1323 , OE-1324 and OE 14-367 color cameras. Video Overlay by CDL and MDL are available for video telemetry projects. Also while the ROV is in the water try the Cygnus UT gauge for divers and ROVs.

Environmental

Our environmental monitoring division specializes in renting a wide variety of analyzers , detectors , monitors and samplers for cleanroom testing, occupational and industrial hygiene applications. Multi-parameter water quality meters measure conductivity, total dissolved solids, resistivity, temperature, pH, oxidation reduction potential (ORP) dissolved oxygen and turbidity and can be used for groundwater , borehole , contaminated land and soil , river and stream testing and wastewater outlet discharge monitoring . We also rent peristaltic and bladder pumps, leak detection, ultrasonic flow meters, oil interface probes and water level loggers . Our confined space entry gas monitors can detect hazardous gases such as CO , CO 2 , H 2 S, ozone, mercury, oxygen, methane, NO x and other toxic vapors (vapours) both for indoor air quality , boundary or perimeter and landfill gas monitoring including weather stations. We also hire flue gas , combustion and EPA / MCERT approved stack emission monitors including heated lines and Flame Ionisation Detectors (FID ), portable gas analysers and dataloggers . There is a wide range of HVAC instrumentation including Photo Ionisation Detectors (PID) for Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) detection, personal sampling pumps, respirator fit testing , microbial samplers , calibrators , light meters , humidity, heat stress, airflow (vane and hotwire) anemometers and dust, particulate and aerosol monitors for TSP, PM 2.5 and PM 10 measurement. Noise, vibration and health and safety equipment includes Type 1 and 2 microphone acoustic broadband and octave band sound level meters (SLM) , dosimeters , seismographs , real-time analysers and instruments for hand-arm and whole body vibration monitoring using triaxial accelerometers .

Specialty Gases

Ashtead Technology Rentals and Airgas, Inc . have recently entered a partnership where Airgas will supply Ashtead with EPA gases to rent alone or with any one of Ashtead's many pieces of rental equipment. This partnership will allow gases to be shipped within one business day to any location in the United States , just like Ashtead's rental equipment.

Non-Destructive

Our stock of equipment for Non Destructive Testing (NDT) and inspection technologies includes ultrasonic (including A, B and C-scan) eddy current , ACFM , magnetic particle inspection (MPI) ultraviolet , thermography , positive material identification (PMI) x-ray fluorescence (XRF) and ground penetrating radar (GPR) . Traditional equipment for measurement of hardness, thickness, paint and coating inspection, corrosion, crack and flaw detection, corrosion, porosity (pinhole) and ferrite have been enhanced with additional instruments for composite and bond testing, rebar location (covermeters) for concrete, ANDSCAN, phased array, rail testing, acoustic emission and ROHS / WEEE evaluation. Thermal cameras from FLIR Systems provide high specification infrared (IR) imaging systems suitable for electrical testing and thermographic surveys .

Remote Visual

Ashtead Technology Rentals can help you view, measure and record objects with our unrivalled range of Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) and photographic equipment . Flexible endoscopes , videoprobes , videoscopes , fibrescopes and rigid boroscopes can be supplied for aircraft engine and turbine inspection and cavity surveys . Other camera systems include pan, tilt and zoom, pushrod and robotic mini-mainline crawlers for pipe, duct, tank and vessel inspection as well as drainage and sewer CCTV surveys . These include waterproof, intrinsically safe (IS, EX and ATEX) approved and explosion proof systems from manufacturers such as iPEK , Olympus , Pearpoint , Inuktun , Minicam and Everest . We can also supply a range of accessories and recording or storage devices such as DVD, video (VHS) hard drive and compact flash cards. High speed video imaging cameras can be rented for investigation of problems relating to packaging, crash testing, drop testing, industrial and ballistics processes.
