Welcome to St. Timothy's Church!

St. Timothy's Church is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana. Our diocese is one of 110 dioceses in the United States and fifteen other countries which make up The Episcopal Church. The Episcopal Church is one of 38 provinces of the worldwide Anglican Communion, the third largest communion of Christians in the world, which has more than 70 million members in 160 countries.
Saint Timothy’s Episcopal Church was founded on January 24, 1959, as a mission church, and it became a parish on February 17, 1968. Six priests have served as our rector, and our parish is now between rectors. The Rev. Frank W. Hughes, Ph.D., is our Interim Priest.
The principal act of Christian worship on the Lord’s Day (Sunday) is the Holy Eucharist. This service is also known as the Holy Communion, the Divine Liturgy, and the Mass. You are cordially invited to worship with us at our 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Eucharists on Sunday, as well as our 6:00 p.m. Eucharist on Wednesday evenings.
Please identify yourself to Father Hughes as a visitor and sign our guest book in the narthex of the church. After each of our Eucharists there is a time of fellowship in the Parish Hall, which is a building directly behind the church.
Our time for Christian Education for both children and adults is from 9:10 to 10:10 a.m. on Sundays. A group of adults teach Sunday School for children, and Father Hughes teaches adult classes during this time.
On Wednesday evenings, following the 6:00 Holy Eucharist in the Chapel, directly to the right as you enter the front doors of our church building, there is usually a potluck supper at 6:30, followed by a Christian Education class taught by Father Hughes. We are currently studying the Gospel According to Matthew.
