Greg Arceneaux Cabinetmakers was founded over eighteen years ago to preserve the heritage of Louisiana Acadian and Creole furniture making which was rapidly disappearing. Greg Arceneaux realized that only a few original examples of this beautiful and practical furniture style were still in existence. He was determined that this most unique and most overlooked form of antiquity in the decorative arts would not fade into oblivion. Greg Arceneaux is a native of Louisiana, a descendent from a long line of French Acadians, who settled Louisiana in the eighteenth century. Greg feels a strong connection with these early settlers and the unique culture and lifestyle they created here in Louisiana. A prime example of the uniqueness of their culture is reflected in the furniture style which has become known as Louisiana Creole or Acadian.
