11/11/2010 - MONSANTO PRESENTS CHECK TO CITY OF KENNER
The Monsanto Company presented a generous $2,600 check to the City of Kenner Parks and Recreation Department last week from the Monsanto Fund, a grant program that supports local agricultural and educational projects. Kenner’s Vegetable Gardening Program was awarded in May a full year’s funding for its classes, which aim to show participants how to grow their own vegetables and herbs at home.
11/2/2010 - KENNER CODE INSPECTORS UPGRADED UNIFORMS RECENTLY
Starting in late September, 2010, code enforcement inspectors for the City of Kenner began phasing out the old uniforms they have worn for years and began wearing new uniforms.

Former Police Commander Retired Oct. 29, Started New Post Nov. 1
Kenner's new emergency management coordinator started work Monday after completing a career in law enforcement that spanned 32 years, 27 of them at several levels in the Kenner Police Department. He retired from the KPD on Friday, October 29.

Work to Include Patching, New Curbs & Handicap Ramps
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announced it will use alternating lane closures on Williams Boulevard between Airline Drive and Interstate-10 from November 1 through November 4, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. to repair road surfaces, curbs, gutters and handicap ramps.
