Degan J. Dansereau, M.D. is a psychiatrist practicing in his native home of New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Dansereau attended Tulane University where he majored in psychology and graduated with honors. He then completed medical school at LSU-New Orleans. He continued his training with an Adult Psychiatry Residency at Tulane University where he served as Chief Resident in Psychiatry.

Dr. Dansereau is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, Louisiana Psychiatric Medical Association, American Medical Association and the Louisiana State Medical Society.

Dr. Dansereau is Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. He currently maintains a private practice that focuses on providing personal, caring and expert treatment of psychiatric illnesses. Located in Uptown New Orleans, the yellow Victorian house at 3705 Coliseum St. has served the psychiatric outpatient needs of the community for over 30 years. The office is on the corner of Coliseum and Amelia, four blocks off of St. Charles Avenue towards the river, near Touro Hospital and the intersection of St. Charles and Louisiana Avenue.
