The Praline Connection began as a home delivery service targeting career women who were too busy to prepare home cooked meals for their families.

Cecil and Curtis opened their first location on Frenchman Street in 1990 and the rest has been culinary history. The Praline Connection serves "down-home" cajun-creole style soul food at affordable prices and features three generations of "Pure-D-Goodness".

Our New Orleans Pralines are handmade daily in the old fashioned, spoon dripped method, using only the finest ingredients.

Their most recent addition to the family is The Praline Connection Candy Shop, Gift Store, and Foodcourt at the New Orleans International Airport .

If you enjoy our food, tell your friends about us. If you don't, tell us. We hope you'll agree that everything is "PURE-D-GOOD"!

Here is what some of the Critics had to say about us

"A state-of-the-art candy shop and down-home restaurant offering authentic, no-nonsense soul food."
- Christopher Petkansas, Elle

"This is Creole soul distilled to its sweetest essence."
- Lisa LeBlanc-Berry, Gambit

"This friendly, lively restaurant is the hottest spot for cooking in the Southern-Creole mode."
- Travel and Leisure Magazine

"Rare is there a restaurant good enough to serve as the touchstone for a single cuisine, a restaurant where virtually every dish in effect says, "This is how it should be done and there's nothing more to be said about it."
- Gene Bourg, Times Picayune

The Praline Connection is the place to be in New Orleans. Check out our location page for directions.
