Beau Chêne. “Beautiful Oak.” An appropriate name and tribute to the thousands of live oak trees dotting the landscape of Beau Chêne Country Club’s homes, golf course greens, river banks and woods.
In the 1970’s Lester Kabacoff and Morgan Earnest joined together to purchase the land and bring their vision on the north shore of Louisiana’s Lake Pontchartrain to fruition. They saw that among the oak trees and piney woods could be a community of families and people enjoying life in an area of gracious homes and child-friendly streets. Today, Beau Chêne Country Club is a reality for their children and grandchildren as well as the 4,500 residents that share Beau Chêne.
Beau Chêne Country Club is a lively place. Membership in the Club is available to both homeowners in the community and throughout the surrounding towns. Members may choose from a variety of activities, from the area’s premiere golf courses designed by famed golf course architect Joe Lee with 36 holes of spectacular beauty, to ten tennis courts (both indoor and out), and to an aquatic center with three swimming pools.
The gracious and welcoming Beau Chêne Clubhouse is the hub of our community. Beautifully manicured grounds and native Louisiana flowers invite members and guests to a handsome 20,000 square foot Acadian style Clubhouse that has been completely renovated as of July, 2008. Creative fine regional dining presented by an exemplary staff awaits in Morgan’s, where Executive Chef Hosie Bourgeois expertly combines classic French techniques with a love for Louisiana cuisine. The Fore & Aft provides a more casual atmosphere for golfers, friends and families. These two dining rooms are complemented by a large banquet room overlooking the golf course that is the scene of many pleasant gatherings of members and friends.
We’d like to share our lovely Club with you. For more information on joining Beau Chêne, please contact Membership Director Ann Dwyer at 985-845-3571, ext. 101 or by email at annd@beauchenecc.com.
