NOTES FROM THE PASTOR...
As our liturgical year draws to a close, we prepare to celebrate the feast of Christ The King next weekend, November 20 and 21. As always, we end our year on the "high note" of honoring Our Lord Jesus Christ on this special feast. We will have a special procession for Christ The King at the 9:30 AM and 11 AM Masses.

Let us remember during these busy days to keep Christ at the center of all that we do!–Fr. Scott
CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT has worked alongside poor and low-income people to identify their needs and create long-lasting change. We have lifted millions of Americans above the poverty line through the support of CCHD. Now more than ever, CCDH needs support from you in the local parishes. Remember that 25% of the this collection remains in our diocese for local anti-poverty efforts. Please be generous to this collection. You may use the envelope in your monthly packet or a pew envelope clearly marked CCHD.
CCD THANKSGIVING MASS: On Wednesday, November 17 we will have our annual CCD Thanksgiving Mass at 6:15 PM in Church for all CCD students in grades PK - 8.The children will assemble in front of church and process in. Again this year we would appreciate the children bringing one or more non-perishable food items for those less fortunate. We invite parents and friends to join us for the Mass. The children will be dismissed at approximately 7:00 PM. No one will be dismissed unless someone is there to meet him/her.

ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE FOR THE POOR on Thanksgiving Day at the 8:00 AM Mass. There will be a collection of non-perishable foods and monetary gifts for the poor during the offertory. For monetary gifts you may use the poor box envelope in your monthly packet or a clearly marked pew envelope and drop in the collection basket at any time during the month of November. Baskets for food donations will be placed near the Book of Remembrance and in the foyer of the Church the weekend before Thanksgiving.–Sr. Nell Murray
WORLDWIDE VIGIL FOR ALL UNBORN HUMAN LIFE: On Saturday, November 27, Pope Benedict XVI will celebrate a "Vigil for all Nascent (Unborn) Human Life" to coincide with first vespers of the First Sunday of Advent. The Holy Father requests that this vigil be observed in dioceses and parishes.
In solidarity with Pope Benedict, and the church through out the world, we will celebrate Evening Prayer and Benediction at 6:30 PM on Saturday, November 27 in the Church. This vigil will last approximately 30 minutes, so please join us. If you attend the 5:30 PM Mass, please remain after for this important time of prayer! –Fr. Scott
ST. RITA CHRISTMAS TOUR OF HOMES, SUNDAY, DECEMBER 19: Currently we have a total of five homes to feature! The first four homes you are invited to visit from 1PM - 4 PM (at your own leisure). From 4 PM - 5 PM all tourists are asked to make the Rectory their final stop, where we will have refreshments and entertainment! Tickets are $20 for adults, and $10 for children under 12 and can be purchased beginning Monday, November 29 at the Parish Office, or at any of the homes the day of the tour! If you would like to feature your home in our tour, please call Debbie at 445-7141, ext. 20!
NEW YEAR’S EVE DANCE on December 31, from 9:00 PM till 1:00 AM. We will have a live band, The Neighborhood Stars from New Roads, LA. They are a R & B Band with Keys, Trumpet and Vocalist. Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple. Upon request we will reserve tables for parties of 10 or more. Drink setups and party favors will be provided. Tickets can be purchased at the church office. Plan to join us for a evening of fun!!

OUR LADY OF SORROWS BAZAAR after all Masses this weekend in the church foyer, to benefit their missions of Mexico and Bangladesh. There will be a variety of items to purchase such as religious articles, 1st Communion Gifts, items from mission lands, etc.
SUNDAY BREAKFAST sponsored by the KC Council 1134 will be held on Sunday, November 21st after the 8:00 and 9:30 AM Masses in the Holy Family Center.
