Wherever you are in your faith journey, you are welcome at St. James. This multifaceted congregation has a place for you, and we look forward to helping you discover a meaningful level of involvement in the life of this church and school. Come and see how we fulfill our purpose of proclaiming Christ, him crucified, and raised from the dead, until the day of his coming.
The most effective form of evangelism is one’s way of life. Other people are more impressed by what we do than by what we preach. Pray that you might live your life in such a way that others may be attracted to Christ.
We all want to plan for our future, whether that means retirement, a new home or a well-deserved vacation. Our approach should be no different when it comes to stewardship. The gifts of time and money we give now help to build up St. James for future generations. We can't assume that St. James will continue to exist and that that is enough. In order for our church to thrive, we are obligated to act now to make our hopes a reality. Please consider the importance of giving and the impact it will make, not only today, but in the future.
From the moment we first walked in the door - and really the moment we were first invited - the clergy, staff and congregation of St. James have been wonderful to us. Prior to our first visit at St. James in May of this year, we'd spent a lot of time looking and considering our options for a new church home. Both coming from a Southern Baptist background, we didn't necessarily know what to expect at St. James.
The welcoming spirit, enthusiastic faith and message of hope embodied by the people of the church have been a wonderful surprise and addition to our lives; and for that we are so grateful. We look forward to continuing our discovery of the rich history and all that St. James has to offer; and are excited about the opportunities ahead for what we hope to be able to contribute in return.
