How You Can Help?
Write a check for Haitian relief — make it out to Mangum and place it in the envelope and return it to offering tray. Make the notation — “Haiti.” These funds will be used to purchase Health Care Kit supplies.
Consider joining a mission trip to help rebuild. More on that later.
Pray for the people of Haiti and those seeking to help them.
Mangum Memorial United Methodist Church is located in the northwest section of Shreveport, Louisiana. While most of our members live within a twenty-minute drive of the church, a significant number come from Bossier City, Greenwood, and East Texas.
We are a growing congregation that presently offers two Sunday morning worship experiences. At 8:30 a.m., we have a traditional worship service that includes our fine Chancel Choir and music from the United Methodist Hymnal. At 10:30 a.m., our Praise and Worship Team, "One Voice" leads our "blended service" that will change in structure as it evolves to meet the needs of our effort to invite individuals to know Jesus Christ as their Lord.
Additionally, we offer opportunities for Bible Study and for service. Disciple Bible Studies are offered throughout the months coinciding with the school year. We also are heavily committed to prison ministries as well as working with the homeless. Eight adult Sunday School classes and Christian Education experiences for all children and youth are available to help you in your spiritual formation.
Steve Caraway is our pastor. A native of New Orleans, he is a graduate of Centenary College in Shreveport, and the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He brings over thirty years of ordained ministry to Mangum.
We're conveniently located on Pines Road; 1 miles north of Interstate 20 in Shreveport.
Come, join us in our striving to do God's will in our lives and through Mangum Church.
We invite you to experience a little joy in your life this week!
