Lea Joyner is a vibrant United Methodist church of 1,300 members in Monroe, Louisiana. We offer 2 exciting and meaningful worship services on Sunday morning. . .
our traditional service at 9 AM & our contemporary service at 11 AM.
Whichever option you prefer, it is our hope that you will find the experience to be warm &inviting.
If you are living anywhere in the area or just in the area for the weekend, we invite you to join us for worship.

Our worship services are broadcast each Sunday morning at 10:00 AM on KLIC, AM1230.

THANKSGIVING FOOD BASKETS - - We are collecting nonperishable food items for Thanksgiving food baskets. A box is located by the Welcome Center. You may bring: sugar, flour corn meal, canned vegetables (go easy on green beans and corn), dried beans, soups, rice, canned fruit. Please do not bring pie filling. Donations of money will be greatly appreciated as we will use that to buy the perishable items, such as the turkey, butter, eggs, milk, etc. Please have your donations to the church by Sunday, Nov. 21. Boxes will be distributed on Tues. Nov. 23.

New Member Sunday - - is Nov. 21. Several persons will be joining that day. You may do so during the final hymn, or join privately by meeting the pastors at the altar at 10: 10 to answer the questions of church membership found on page 38 of the Hymnal.

commitment cards - - If you have not turned in your commitment card, please send it in this week. If you do not have one, they are available in the welcome center.

lea circle bake sale - - Be sure to pick up some wonderful homemade goodies in the welcome center this Sunday, Nov. 21.

HANGING OF THE GREENS - - Sunday, Nov. 28th @ 6:00 PM. After the service we will go to the CLC for the Cajun Christmas to enjoy some great Cajun food!

MEMORIALS & HONORARIA FOR POINSETTIAS - - If you would like to donate in memory or honor of someone, donation forms will be available the welcome center next Sunday. Proceeds will go toward poinsettias & the worship fund. Please have your donations in no later thanSunday, December 19.

Childrens Ministrys Bethlehem Village - - in the Christian Life Center December 5 @ 5 PM. This will be an interactive Christmas experience. We would also like to invite each family unit to bring a gift to the stable. These gifts will be given to needy children in our area. Please place your gift in a gift bag or it can be wrapped. Please label girl or boy. The gifts should be for children between the ages of newborn - 4 years of age.

PUPPET MINISTRY & DRAMA TEAM - - Jennifer Kimble would like to start a Puppet Ministry & Drama Team. If you are interested in getting involved, please talk to Jennifer or Elaine Chapman.
