SCHOOL MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY
The mission of Baton Rouge School of Court Reporting (BRSCR) and Professional Institute of Court Reporting (PICR) is to provide a focused, structured skills and academic program to students wishing to enter the fields of court reporting, CART/captioning and scoping.
Our philosophy is to provide a stress-free, supportive environment most conducive to the students' success as students and eventually as working court reporters, scopists, and CART-Captioning providers. The main focus of our programs is to instill a growing confidence in the mastery of skills and knowledge base a student achieves as they progress through the curriculum.
Our schools are very hands-on and dynamic, with an exciting, user-friendly approach to learning. We treat each student as an individual, whether onsite students or distance learners. Enthusiasm and positive motivation remain the driving forces of our varied programs.
We offer onsite or distance learning in programs of Court Reporter Training, CART-Captioning Training, VoiceWriting, as well as a full Scopist Training Program. Our costs are kept low as part of our mission, as we want anyone who desires an education to be able to attain it. Students from all over the United States are finding out what hard work, structure, and a positive attitude can accomplish in reaching their career goals. We hope you'll enjoy visiting our web site!
