Computer Heaven 10 Point Diagnostic

What are you really getting when someone says they are going to diagnose your computer? How do you know they will check for the causes of your problems, not just perform a quick fix to get you in and out of the shop? Whenever you bring a computer in for repair at COMPUTER HEAVEN, we will perform the following 10 point Diagnostic & Check Up to make sure all of your potential problems are identified, not just the one you are bringing it in for. Here is what you get when you bring your computer to the experts at Computer Heaven:

The #1 enemy of computer hardware is HEAT. We check the computer for Thermal Problems. We check to ensure there is proper air flow throughout the computer case, and we also check to make sure all cooling fans are in proper working condition. We check for proper ventilation and we also check the processor cooling to be sure that heat is being dissipated properly.
Another common enemy of computers is DUST. We thoroughly blow the computer out of any dust and dander build up. We make sure all of the cooling fans and air intakes are as free of dust as possible. A lot of times clearing out the dust and debris from inside your computer will help it run better and prolong the life of the internal hardware.
We check to make sure all Internal Connections and Cables are connected properly and securely. Including but not limited to IDE, SATA, PSU, Floppy, LEDs, Power switch, Reset Switch, and PCI-e connections.
As part of our Power Check, we check the power supply to make sure it is adequate for the components in your computer system. We also check to make sure the power on and off cycles are functioning properly.
We do a full Memory Test on the RAM in your system to check for stability and reliability. We run it through a rigorous program that will notify us of irregularities that may be causing problems.
Your Hard Drive(s) will be tested for a couple of different things. First we test it to see if it has been running within acceptable temperature ranges or if it has been running hot. We also check the integrity of the drive to be sure it is functioning properly or if it has any bad sectors that could be causing problems.
We also check the stability and reliability of your Windows Operating System. We will check to see if there is any corruption or any compressed system files that could be causing problems . We also check to make sure the most recent service packs for windows are installed. We will inform you of any problems we find within the operating system.
As part of our diagnostic fee we will also check for signs of Virus and Spyware infections. We will also check to make sure you have a current and trusted antivirus program installed on your computer. In the event we find anything suspicious or malicious we will inform you of the proper precautions as well as what the best solutions would be.
System Device Check. Once everything else checks out, we will inspect your computer software to ensure all hardware devices have the proper software drivers installed. Without the proper software drivers installed your hardware may not function properly, or even worse, it may not function at all. We will inform you of any devices that may need updated software.
